During our most recent trip to Kyoto, we visited Takashimaya. Although Takashimaya common throughout Japan, we saw lots of local flavors that we didn’t see at Takashimaya in Yokohama. Its depachika revealed an incredible array of locally sourced ingredients and traditional delicacies. It was here that I found the most exquisite matcha tea, handcrafted tofu, and freshly made mochi that melted in my mouth.
